Horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch is available as a single event or part of a multi-event package including a buffet lunch in the visitor's center. Closed toed shoes like sneakers are required, and long pants are recommended. Minimum age for riders is 10 and minimum height is 4'6". Maximum weight for riders is 230 pounds. Signed waiver of liability required for all participants..

Two Hour Tour - Single Event: A two hour ride is available at 3:00pm ... this tour ventures to the northern part of the ranch deep into Ka'a'awa Valley which is a site where Jurassic Park, Godzilla, 50 First Dates, and Lost were filmed. The tour passes through forested areas, past WWII bunkers, and offeres fantastic views of the Kualoa Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. No transportation is included for single events so guests must drive to Kualoa Ranch. $99 per rider

One Hour Tour - Single Event: A one hour ride is available at either 8:00am or 3:00pm ... riders will see the southern half of the ranch with vistas of the famed "Chinaman's Hat" (Mokolo'i Island) and an ancient Hawaiian Fishpond. No transportation is included for single events so guests must drive to Kualoa Ranch. $69 per rider

Full Day Adventure Package: Combine a one hour horseback ride with THREE other events of your choice: ATV tour, movie site and ranch tour, jungle expedition, Hawaiian fishpond and garden tour, ancient hula lessons, legends and legacy tour, and ocean voyaging. (minimum ages for ATV and gun range are 16; ocean voyaging not available on Sundays and fed. holidays). This full-day adventure package includes a buffet lunch at the Kualoa Ranch visitors center. The rate is $139 for adults and $79 for children (ages 10 and 11). Round trip transportation from Waikiki hotels is available for $10 per participant.

Half Day Adventure Package: Combine a one hour horseback ride with one other of the following events: movie site and ranch tour, jungle expedition, Hawaiian fishpond and garden tour, ancient hula lessons, legends and legacy tour, and ocean voyaging. (minimum age for gun range is 16; ocean voyaging not available on Sundays and fed. holidays). This half-day adventure package includes a buffet lunch at the Kualoa Ranch visitors center. The rate is $99 for adults and $59 for children (ages 10 and 11). Round trip transportation from Waikiki hotels is available for $10 per participant.

ACTIVITY TIPS

Kualoa Ranch has some of the most spectacular landscapes in Hawaii ... that's the reason so many of the Hollywood films and TV shows have shot scenes here. It's a great place to go horseback riding.

The best deal is to do one of their full-day adventure packages. Along with the horseback riding you can select three other events that the Ranch offers. The complete list of activities is found above; the most popular events are the horseback riding, ATV tour, and movie tour. With the full day adventure package you can do all three of those, along with one other event, and a nice buffet lunch is included too. Round-trip transportation from Waikiki hotels is available with this package.

The half-day adventure package includes two activities at the Ranch ... it also includes the buffet lunch and round-trip transportation from Waikiki hotels is available with this package as well. Please note that if you want to do horseback riding AND ATV, you cannot combine those two on the half day adventure ... if you want to do both of those events, you'll need to do the full-day package. Most people who do the half day package combine the horseback riding with the movie tour.

If you want to go horseback riding as part of a full or half day package, use the form at right to reserve your spot at the Ranch as space is limited. While it's a good idea to have in mind the top two or three events that you'd like to do, the selection of the exact tours that you will do on your package is made upon arrival at the ranch. If you are reserved in advance for a package, adequate space is allotted for you to select the specific events you would like on the morning of your tour.

Please note that the horseback riding that is included with the packages is the one hour ride. The two hour ride is only available as a stand-alone event and is only offered in the afternoon.

For those utilizing the ranch's transportation from Waikiki, pickup is between 7am and 8am depending on your hotel. Those driving themselves to the ranch for one of the packages should arrive no later than 8:30am. The half day packages return back to Waikiki around 2:30pm and the full day packages arrive back around 4:30pm.

Oahu Horseback Riding Reservations

Upon submitting your activity reservation for processing, we will make reservations for you and send an e-mail confirming all of the details. These confirmations are often sent a few minutes after your reservation, but some activities take longer to confirm than others. You will receive an e-mail confirmation by the end of the next business day at the latest. There are no tickets that you need to pick up prior to your event. Your e-mail confirmation will have all the details you need to check in and enjoy your selected activity. This saves you precious time when you arrive in Hawaii. 

Please be sure that you have typed your email address perfectly; an incorrect address will prevent you from getting your confirmation details, and we will have no way of knowing that you never received your confirmation. We cannot be responsible for errors that clients make which causes them to miss their tour. If you do not see your email confirmation within 24 hours please call us right away to check on the status of your order.

A credit card is required to guarantee payment for your reservations, but the activities on this page ARE NOT CHARGED when your order is placed. These activities are operated by vendors who charge you at the time of check-in for your activity. Adventureinhawaii.com will provide this vendor with your billing information so that your space is reserved. Even though your credit card is not charged in advance, it is import to realize that you are making a confirmed reservation. No-shows will be charged in full by the activity provider on the credit card used to secure the reservation .

After making reservations, you may reschedule or cancel your activity up until 48 hours prior to its start (a few activities have 72 hour cancellation policies ... see your confirmation e-mail for details). Within 48 hours of the start of your activity all reservations are final and non-refundable (unless the event is cancelled by the vendor due to weather or other factors ... in which case you are refunded in full). Due to our incredible climate here, weather cancellations are rare.  No-shows and cancellations without adequate notice are charged in full on the credit card used to secure the reservation and are non-refundable.
