No trip to Oahu would be complete without visiting Hawaii’s most popular tourist attraction … the USS Arizona Memorial. This tour includes the Arizona Memorial visitor’s center, a powerful documentary film, and a ferry boat ride which takes you out to the Memorial. From there you will gaze down into the water where just below the surface lies the deck of the USS Arizona, the final resting place for many of the 1177 crew members who lost their lives on December 7, 1941. There are many large tour buses that bring guests to Pearl Harbor, but this tour is superior to the big bus tours because these excursions are all done in smaller 25 passenger mini-coaches. This gives each guest more personal attention from the guide, and the oversize windows in these mini-coach vehicles offer superior visibility.
The Pearl Harbor and Circle Island tour is perfect for those who want to see as much as possible in one day! After Pearl Harbor the tour continues on a full-day circle island route. Numerous stops are made throughout the day including the Dole Pineapple Plantation Visitor’s Center, North Shore surfing beaches, and Nu’uanu Pali Lookout. You’ll see the beautiful coral and white sand beaches of Oahu’s windward side, the famous landmark islet known as “Chinaman’s Hat”, and drive through Kahala – the “Beverly Hills of Hawaii.” Other stops include Halona Blowhole & Lookout and Hanauma Bay Lookout (closed every Tuesday). Your guide will most likely include additional stops during the day depending on his/her narrative and interesting scenes along the way.
