Activity Tips

Kevin Ditamore – Owner / Manager

John Hirokawa’s “Magic of Polynesia” show has been a staple of the Waikiki nightlife scene for decades, primiering on April 15, 1990. His show is truly one-of-a-kind anywhere in the world. It is a spell-binding showcase for Hirokawa’s wizardry. Equal parts magic, comedy, and Hawaiiana, the show includes hula and chant performances as well as Hirokawa’s world-class illusions. You’ll gasp along with the rest of the audience as he makes people appear and disappear, including himself and at one point an audience member who isn’t even part of the show.

John Hirowaka has been at this for a long time now. He does take a number of weeks off throughout the year, but the show continues during those weeks. His understudy is well-trained and the show is exactly the same every night regardless of which man is performing.

It’s a fun night out … not a replacement for a quality luau … but definitely worth checking out. Other nightly entertainment options are Chief’s Luau and Paradise Cove Luau.
