On the island of Maui, Paragon Sail Maui is the premier sailing catamaran company. Their thrilling adventures are aboard high performance catamaran Paragon & Paragon II. Their twin vessels feature new construction techniques and hull design, paired with state-of-the-art rotating carbon fiber masts. The mast technology was used by America’s Cup winning catamaran, which allows for incredible speeds along with safety and comfort. Sailing is a major part of the ride, and Paragon sailing does it best.

Their intimate and authentic charters go to Molokini, Coral Gardens, Lana’i, and Lahaina sunset sailing. Paragon sailing offers a diverse range of snorkeling and sailing. They are committed to customer service and they have catered to Maui visitors and locals for over 20 years. Their tours feature smaller groups creating a personal experience with a friendly and experienced crew.

The catamarans go to one snorkel site per trip, and they specialize in performance sailing. So instead of motoring around to multiple snorkel sports, they will hit their favorite and then go for an exhilarating sail. Not only will you explore some of the most amazing reefs in Hawaii, but you also get to enjoy trade wind sailing! They depart from Lahaina Harbor as well as Ma’alaea Harbor depending on your tour selection.

Molokini Snorkel Sail

Aboard Paragon II you will discover the unique snorkeling destination of Molokini. This crescent shaped crater is a natural marine preserve with over 250 species of tropical fish. This tour combines performance sailing with snorkeling in pristine & protected waters. Maui’s afternoon trade winds can really get this catamaran going, and the Paragon II can reach speeds in excess of 20 knots!

Enjoy a continental breakfast as you sail leisurely across Ma’alaea Bay. Swim and snorkel at Molokini, and then you can rinse off with their fresh hot/cold water shower. A full lunch buffet and beverages is served there as well.

December through May is whale season, and witness the humpback whales play as you take in the stunning Maui landscape.

Lanai Snorkel Sail

Discover the exclusive island of Lana’i aboard the Paragon!  Lana’i is one of the top 10 snorkel destinations in the world.  It boasts remote tropical beaches, pristine reefs, tide pools, and spinner dolphins that frequent Manele Bay.  From Lahaina Harbor you will set sail across the Au’ au’ channel to Lana’i.  As you enjoy a continental breakfast take in the panoramic views of Maui, Moloka’i, Kaho’olawe, and Lana’i.  The first stop is Manele Bay which is a healthy and lush reef and marine preserve full of sea life.  When you arrive on Lana’i, take a 10 minute stroll to Hulopo’e beach.  This is one of the most stunning beaches in Hawaii.  Pick a spot for lunch under a palm tree on a grass mat, at a picnic table, or even stretch out on the warm golden sand.  The reef here is just as beautiful, so you’re welcome to bring the snorkel gear with you.  If you don’t want to walk to Hulopo’e beach or choose not to venture there, you will have access to share, picnic tables, and facilities in the harbor area.  If the conditions are right, Paragon will stop just off the coast of Lahaina to jump into the warm waters for one last swim to end a perfect day.

General Information
What to Bring & Wear: A hat, sunglasses, camera, reusable water bottle, and towels. They do not provide towels, however they keep a small inventory on the boat for purchase.  On the sunset sail, especially during the winter months, you may want to bring a light jacket.

Gear Provided: They snorkel gear and will fit you for correct size.  They also have a few optical masks on board, so let us know if you require one and they’ll do our best to accommodate you.  You are also welcome to bring your own snorkel gear.

Restrictions:  They do not allow spray-on sunscreen because it has a tendency to go everywhere, including the deck.  This can make maneuvering around the boat very slippery and hazardous.  Also, it is generally very toxic to the ocean environment.  Sail Maui are huge advocates of using reef-safe sunscreen to preserve the marine ecosystem, and they provide reef-safe sunscreen as a courtesy on both of their boats.  They highly recommend using their marine friendly sunscreen, because chemicals in conventional brands wash off your skin while snorkeling and can kill coral and promote bleaching.

Note: They can provide vegetarian or gluten free options through their catering companies, although people with severe nut allergies or who have celiac disease should be aware that they cannot guarantee there has been no cross contamination.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
