Activity Tips

You really haven’t seen the island of Kauai until you’ve seen it from above. There is so much beauty on this island that it will leave you speechless. Countless remote waterfalls are just waiting for you to point your camera lens at them!

Most helicopter tours leave from the main airport in Lihue, and for visitors staying on the north shore (Princeville, Hanalei, Haena, etc.) the drive into town can take an hour or more depending on traffic. Helicopter tours are expensive, and the LAST thing you want to do is miss your tour time because you cut it a little too close and then run into congestion on a stretch of our two-lane “highway.” There is a north shore alternative … and these flights out of the Princeville Airport save you the drive back into town. You really don’t need stress on your vacation, and this is a stress-free way to see the very best that our island has to offer.

One other advantage of the north shore departures … the flights from here have a slightly higher % of the time spent over the mountainous interior, Waimea Canyon, and the Na Pali coast. The flights out of LIhue spend a few more minutes over flatter terrain on return back to the airport.
